Meet the Artist

Our First Featured Artist: Victoria

Meet Victoria, a passionate Argentinian illustrator and animator based in Berlin. With a Fine Arts degree from the National University of Rosario and traditional 2D animation studies under her belt, Victoria’s work brings stories to life through vibrant colors and textured details.

Her art, rooted in activism, everyday moments, and the world of her imagination, has touched the hearts of many. Victoria is also a co-founder of feminist graphic collectives in both Argentina and Germany, blending creativity with purpose.

She’s exhibited her work across festivals and residencies in South America and Europe, and her creations can be found in books, magazines, and social media.

We’re so thrilled to have Victoria as our first featured artist at Rita—her unique vision and vibrant energy truly shine through every piece she creates

For our first artist Victoria, it can happen that she meets snakes in her dreams — in some years more often than in others. Rather than fearful, she is happy to meet them, but they always remain a mystery to her.

“Sometimes they climb up my legs, other times I hold them firmly in my hands. (…)These serpents appear in all shapes and colors, textures and sizes, always within the lush embrace of nature and gardens. Sometimes they come alone, other times in pairs or trios, as if carrying messages I’ve yet to decipher. We meet in a realm beyond this one, a world I step into with my eyes closed.

Their presence unsettles me and at the same time I can’t resist their magnetic pull. It feels as though they are guardians, whispering truths and warnings I struggle to fully grasp.

Across cultures, snakes symbolize strength, wisdom, and protection against negativity. They embody health, transformation, renewal, and opportunity. This is my tribute to the oneiric world, to snakes, and to the wisdom and transformative power they carry.

May this scarf serve as your connection to their energy, an emblem of power, transformation, and protection.”

At Rita, we are committed to showcasing diverse artistic voices, with a strong focus on female-identified and Indigenous artists. We collaborate with talented creators from around the world, transforming their unique illustrations into wearable works of art.

Each silk scarf tells a story, capturing the essence of creativity, culture, and expression. With only a limited number of scarves produced per design, our collections remain exclusive, timeless, and deeply personal.

By supporting underrepresented artists, we celebrate individuality and create meaningful, collectible pieces that honor both tradition and innovation.
